Sterling Marketing closes

Sterling Marketing Ltd ceased trading on 7th April following a decision taken by its board (which it shares with parent company HH&S Group Ltd) that the business was no longer viable and is soon to be liquidated. Staff and clients had been advised of the decision.

However when Direct Commerce managed to speak to Rosemary Stockdale shortly afterwards we found that the decision was taken by the board while she was away and that the first she had heard of it was when a client called her checking that the news was not a joke. Despite the title she worked under, Rosemary was not a current board director of Sterling and had not been since the business was sold to its new owners in late 2015.

Rosemary, having spent the last 20 years working with a wide range of multi-channel retailers providing customer analysis and strategic marketing advice, will now continue this through her own consultancy vehicle.
